This programme has been designed for military veterans who may benefit from spending structured time in nature.
Meeting for a day, once a week over 8 weeks, participants will help restore a Georgian walled garden, nurturing themselves as well as the garden. Each will learn or mentor others in valuable horticultural and heritage skills. The days will be a blend of working with physical nature and the inner nature in beautiful, safe surroundings.
In confidential one-to-one sessions, the coach will also help veterans look more deeply into particular issues, review them and decide how to move forward.
The delivery team are a combination of coaches, military personnel and gardeners who are passionate about nature and the benefits it brings. The programme is fully funded by the Armed Forces Covenant Trust Fund and is totally free to participants.
Forces 4 Nature welcomes referrals from established military charities and the NHS.
The next course will run from 13 Sep - 1 Nov 2022.
Jim Lepingwell leads the programme. He is delighted to hear from anyone interested in the programme and to answer your questions. Get in touch, by using the button below. If you prefer a phone call, please remember to include your number.
Ruralink is pleased to support LHCIC by hosting this webpage. The governance of LHCIC is separate from that of Ruralink and hosting of the website does not imply any legal relationship. However, Fiona Galbraith is a director of both organisations and hugely proud of what each achieves!
